Blue Devils win U15 OASL Title

VAUGHAN, ON — The Ontario Academy Soccer League hosted their finals on Sunday, October 29.

The Blue Devils took on Brampton Elite in the U15 showdown at the Ontario Soccer Center. Captain Desean Bartholomew of the Blue Devils started the match off with a goal in the 2’ minute of play. Bartholomew found space on the left wing and slotted it on goal.

Bartholomew scored a second goal for the Blue Devils in the 25’ minute of play, following a sprint down the left side of the pitch. Bartholomew’s cross inside the box was tipped into the goal by a Brampton defender giving the Blue Devils a 2-0 going into halftime.

With 20 minutes remaining in the game, the Blue Devils found the back of the net once more with a third goal from Bartholomew at the 70’ minute mark after sneaking passed the Brampton backline.

Brampton’s Dylan Candelaria answered Bartholomew’s hat-trick, with a goal in 78’ minute with a shot that just beat Blue Devils keeper Marcel Mariak.

A penalty kick by Albert Camenzuli in 82’ secured the Blue Devils 4-1 victory over Brampton Elite, crowning them the OASL U15 champions and earning the Blue Devils Academy their first star.
